The Observatory was established to help improve health-related decision-making on the island. This applies across the board; be it the provision of more effective and safer health and social care, better planning and management of services, the prevention of disease and disability, or the development of effective public policy to create a healthier society. So the Observatory’s clients include health service planners, public health bodies, voluntary health organisations, community groups, researchers and many others interested health and well-being, and health inequalities on the island.
