Kevin Balanda

Kevin P Balanda

Kevin is the Director of Ireland and Northern Ireland’s Population Health Observatory (INIsPHO). He is also the Associate Director of the Institute of Public Health in Ireland (IPH). Kevin has worked on the development and application of health intelligence in both the government and university sectors for over 20 years. His interests focus on the development and implementation of public health initiatives that address the broader determinants of health and aim to reduce health inequalities.
Steve Barron

Steve Barron

Steve is a Research Analyst with Ireland and Northern Ireland’s Population Health Observatory (INIsPHO). His interests include analysis of injury data, compilation of health poverty data and evaluation of community interventions.

Steve has worked for six years as an analyst in the health sector. He has a BSc in applied psychology and a HDip in information systems from University College Cork. He is studying for a MSc in epidemiology with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London.

Louise Bradley Louise is an Information Assistant in Ireland and Northern Ireland’s Population Health Observatory (INIsPHO). She documents and manages the resources that are available on the Institute of Public Health in Ireland (IPH) eLibrary.

Louise is also secretary to the All-Ireland electronic Health Library (AIeHL).
 

Lorraine Fahy

Lorraine Fahy

Lorraine has worked as a Research Analyst at the Institute of Public Health in Ireland (IPH) since 2005. For the past ten years she has been involved in areas such as the government health sector and data management.

She works on various public health projects as part of Ireland and Northern Ireland’s Population Health Observatory (INIsPHO). She takes a lead role in identifying tables and datasets for the INIsPHO eData website.

Lorraine holds a BSc as well as an honours degree in applied biology. She has also completed a postgraduate HDip in statistics and is studying for a MSc in epidemiology with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical  Medicine, University London.
 

Lindi Gatchell Lindi is the Administrator of Ireland and Northern Ireland’s Population Health Observatory (INIsPHO) and PA to the Director of the Observatory. Lindi holds a certificate in project management from the Institute of Public Administration (IPA). She is on maternity leave in 2008.
 
Ulrike Klein

Ulrike Klein

Ulrike is the Web/Administrative Assistant of Ireland and Northern Ireland’s Population Health Observatory (INIsPHO).

She updates and maintains the website, designs the publications and assists in organising the events. Ulrike holds a MA in musicology and art history.

Brian Ward

Brian Ward

Brian is the Administrator of Ireland and Northern Ireland’s Population Health  Observatory (INIsPHO) and PA to the Director of the Observatory.

Brian is acting in this post while Lindi Gatchell is on maternity leave in 2008.

Brian came to the Institute of Public Health in Ireland (IPH) from the private sector, where he worked for a leading medical and surgical sales, marketing and distribution company. Previous to that he worked in the civil service, based in Ireland and South East Asia.
