Safefood is holding a workshop on dietary standards on the island of Ireland with the aim to identify strategies to tackle food poverty issues as well as to discuss methodologies and evaluation techniques to be used in community intervention projects.  The workshop will take place on 16th April from 9.30 am - 4.15 pm at the Clarion Hotel, IFSC, in Dublin.

The main focus of the workshop will be two safefood funded Nutrition Research Projects:

11:00 am Launch of "All-Ireland Health Data Inventory. Part 1: Metadata for Key Data Sources"

Too often across the island we hear the plea "Can someone just tell me what data are available?" Using agreed metadata standards, this Inventory describes over 150 selected data sources from both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.  At this seminar we launch the Inventory and describe its key features and how it is being disseminated through the All-Ireland electronic Health Library (AIeHL).
