INIsPHO Event Programme 2008
Health information makes a critical contribution to the delivery of effective health services and the development of healthy public policy. However, health analysts often work without vital support. The Health Analysts’ Special Interest Group has been formed to support the health analysts community by providing opportunities to meet colleagues, share practical tools and advice, and support professional development. Ireland and Northern Ireland’s Population Health Observatory (INIsPHO) located within IPH invites you to the first meeting of the group where you can meet fellow analysts and professionals interested in the analysis of health information.
You will learn about the new special interest group, hear from a leading analyst in Northern Ireland, and help shape future activities. The meeting will be followed by a screening of “And the Band Played On”, a film about the role that epidemiologists played in the identification of the AIDS outbreak in the USA during the 1980s.
