The Institute of Public Health in Ireland (IPH) promotes North-South co-operation for public health on the island of Ireland. Tackling inequalities in health is at the heart of all that it does. Ireland and Northern Ireland's Population Health Observatory (INIsPHO) is housed in the Institute.

The Centre for Ageing Research and Development in Ireland (CARDI) and the Strategic Promotion of Ageing Research Capacity (SPARC) are holding this one day seminar/workshop.
This is a special workshop, one in a series involving SPARC working with organisations which share the mission to promote the value of scientific ageing-related research for older people and opportunities for further research. This workshop will cover a range of developments in the fields of health, housing, and technology and will have a special focus on activities in Ireland.
